Oh, hi! It’s been long since I had my last review so here I am, back with yet another food adventure with my clique at Love Desserts in Banawe, QC.

If you have a sweet tooth like us, no, I think we’re just always hungry lol  I tell you visiting this place is worth it. For only Php 199, you can enjoy all the food and drinks you can consume in two (2) hours.

Love Desserts is located at 915 Banawe St. corner Del Monte Ave., Quezon City and open from 11 A.M. to 11 P.M. Visit their facebook page for more info.

The place was fully packed when we arrived. Waiting for about 15 minutes is not a problem to us for we are busy catching up with each other and of course again doing our desperate groupie shots

The food-is-our-best-friend clan: Raz, Ica, Cess, Me and this time with Aimi (she wasn’t able to go with us at Don Day last time) ^^

We finally got in at 6:43 P.M. and they will give you this note as a reminder of your 2-hour eat-all you-can stay.

My first plate of sweets with an Empanada. They don’t only have sweets for you to dig in, nice.

We immediately grabbed plates once we’re inside because we can’t take a decent picture with many people in the buffet station so, yeah eat first before anything else!

We we’re seated just across this pastry station and I took this one sitting down. See how beautiful and mouth watering my view was.

Strawberry shortcake cake!

Strawberry, mocha, mango, and chocolate mousses in dessert glasses. ♥♥♥

Cream puffs and more sweets. That fried lumpia wrapper ensalada (I don’t know what it’s called, sorry) is so gooooood! A must try to lessen your jadedness (umay/suya).

And if you’re still jaded, try their dynamite sticks! It’s not that spicy and it’s cheesy. I am not fond of  spicy foods so I was hesitant at first to try this but my friends said that it’s good for real and I can definitely tolerate the mild pepper taste. I ate like 4 sticks of that.

Everywhere you look, you’ll see these lovely cakes.

We played games in between of eating like rock, paper, scissor and the loser has to eat the food remaining that a friend cannot take anymore. We didn’t want to be charged Php 399 for the leftovers and we should not waste food, right? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Now to my right is where I call the cold station and crepe station.

I feel happy whenever I see colorful things it’s like they can instantly lift my mood but since I’m in heaven of sweets I’m already happy! You can make your own ice cream toppings with these tiny babies.

Big Scoop Ice cream!

Make your own halo-halo station and at the same time the drinks station. They have Ice tea and Milk tea.

I love their interior decorations! Simple yet cute.

I scream ice cream!

We tried the crepe last before going home. They have a stand by server here, you’ll just have to choose what flavor you like, in our case we decided to have all inside a single crepe.

Cute presentation made by the friendly server :)

I would definitely go back for sure. I spent less than 300 for this food adventure. A great way to spend your free time with your friends in a budget. Two thumbs up for Love Desserts and their crews.

Till our next food adventure! Wonder where it will be. Hmmm.

Hot summer days are here and bet ya’ll are bringing out ice cubes to add on your drinks for quenching your thirsts but do you know you can also use these precious ice cubes on your face? Yes, they are very beneficial especially to those people who have acne prone skins.

Hot, humid climates and sweating stimulate the skin to produce more oil that lead to the appearance of blackheads and pimples. Don’t worry, ice cubes to the rescue!

Benefits of using ice cube:

  • Improves blood circulation that will give your skin a healthy glow.
  • Prevents wrinkles and premature aging.
  • Controls blemishes. It reduces the swelling and redness of your acne and pimples.
  • Minimizes pores and reduces the production of excess oil.
  • Primes your skin that will help your make-up last longer.
  • Soothes your tired eyes.
  • Instant relief for sunburns. Yeah~
  • For additional skin benefits, you can infuse the water for the ice cubes with lemon, rosewater, green tea, cucumber, chamomile tea, and other skin-loving ingredients depending on your skin care needs.

I use ice cubes on my face every morning and night after cleansing and I can already see improvements. Minimized my pores on both of my cheeks and reduced the redness of my blemishes. I tell you guys this is definitely a must-try! It’s so simple, I know everybody have ice cubes available at home. You can also apply your favorite moisturizer for better results.

P.S. Don’t use more than two ice cubes on your face. The excessive use may lead to a greater skin problem.

It’s so hot. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

Don Day Korean Restaurant

Had fun with our eating adventure with my high school friends at Don Day in Teacher’s Village and if you’re a Korean drama fan or just a food lover, I should suggest you to try visiting the Restaurant located at 40 Malingap St. Teacher Village, just in front of Pipino Restaurant.

Sorry this is a super late post. I’ve drafted this a long time ago but things just got busy so yeah. It’s better late than never. ^^v

image

The food-is-our-best-friend clan: Me, Raz, Ica and Ces. Behold our desperate groupie shot lol. We arrived a lil early so we just lurked around taking pictures.

Because me and my friends are all Korean drama fans well except for Raz, we decided to try some mouth watering Samgyupsal as what we see in those dramas.

Don Day. They offer a Banchan (side dishes) buffet for only 199.00, 299.00 with unlimited pork belly meat and ₱399.00 for unlimited beef meat.

image

This is what it looks inside. You can choose to sit in an open area or in the air-conditioned room. And we chose to sit in the open area for proper ventilation so we will not smell like a grilled meat after. ^^

There are lots of Banchan to choose from, from the sweet tasty ones to the spicy dishes. They also have soups, nuts and fruits.  (sorry I don’t have any picture we were too hungry to even think to take pictures lol)

image

Raw pork belly meat. Looks like bacon~

Samgyeopsal, its literal meaning is “three (sam; 삼) layered (gyeop; 겹) flesh (sal;살),” referring to the ostensible three layers that are visible in the meat.

image

Bean paste, ??? and black pepper +salt.

image

Samgyupsal is a popular Korean dish.  Commonly served as an evening meal, it consists of thick, fatty slices of pork belly meat.  The meat, usually neither marinated nor seasoned, is cooked on a grill at the diners’ table. Usually diners grill the meat themselves and eat directly from a grill. (wiki)

Step-by-step eating of Samgyupsal credits to the owner.

And my I-can-enjoy-my-Samgyupsal-now face.

Visit them but I’ll tell you it’s good if you’re patient because the customer service is.. ugh. Can’t complain because they have a lot of customers especially during dinner time. Must add some more staffs.

Nom nom nom nom nom. Can’t wait for my other food adventures hehe.

Sappe Collagen Beauti Drink Review

I just wanted to share a short review about a Collagen Drink I recently bought from a convenience store (7/11) while I was on my way home. I was just planning to buy a cup of ramyeon but the kawaii bottle really caught my eyes so I decided to try, plus it is a “Beauti Drink” which means it can help in making me beautiful. ㅋㅋㅋ

From the makers of Mogu mogu, one of my favorite drinks, they introduced a new line of drinks that will help us in keeping the smoothness & moisture of our skin (Collagen drink), whitens and protects skin from UV rays (L-Glutathione drink), and helps promote fat metabolism that is good in your diet and exercise programs (L-Carnitine drink). Only costs ₱35.00 per bottle/less than $1. Not that bad.

COLLAGEN

Normally our body can productively generate by itself until the age around 20, and then production rates gradually declines and causes the skin to loose its moisture. In order to maintain the skin moisture and avoid skin shrinkage and wrinkles, it becomes necessary to substitute the self-generated Collagen by intake of extracted Collagen, generally from chicken skin, cow tendon or fish scale. However, the source of high quality and highly effective Collagen should be from deep sea fish.

Each bottle of SAPPE Beauti drink contains 1,000 mg of Grade A extracted Collagen from deep sea fish.

Uhuh. I think I’ll be hoarding boxes of this since I just turned 20 not so long ago.

What are the benefits of Collagen?

  • Helps in tightening hair follicles
  • Prevent osteoporosis
  • Alleviate shrinkage and maintain skin elasticity
  • Increase our skin moisture.

Recommended serving per day: 3,000 mg of collagen (3 bottles)

image

Warning!! Not Suitable for children, pregnant and lactating mothers.

This tastes so nice and not so sugary! Totally love the drink! Must try the other two drinks soon.

P.S. To all Etude House lovers, I recommend this drink as a good substitute for Etude House Ping Pong Collagen Water if it’s not available in your country like mine (Philippines). Woohoo! Happy dance~ (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

Got this song on repeat for like 3 weeks now. I always go to her youtube and play all of her covers. Kkkk~ I really like Lydia, her voice, song covers and her dance moves. She can be cute and hot and all the swag. How can this be possible??? And she’s the one featured in G-Dragon’s Ride or Die. Kyaaaa~
